Bored in school, Clemency summons Chaphesmeeso, her trusty hobgoblin friend to see if he can stir up some fun. When Chaphe appears, he brings with him Kennethurchin, a boy stolen from his cradle who is in the process of becoming a hobgoblin. When Kennethurchin was stolen, he was replaced with a changeling called Inky. Since changelings are made of clay, once their parents bathe them, they dissolve and wash down the drain, returning to the underworld so that the child they replaced can become a full hobgoblin. Kennethurchin cannot become a hobgoblin because Inky, never having bathed, is still living. It's up to Clem and Chaphe to track the changeling down and return him to the ground before there are dire consequences. But Inky is now nine years old, and has other ideas of his own...This is another whimsical, side-splittingly funny story from the twisted imagination of JT Petty.
