I love this book! I think I like it better than [b:Faith & Fidelity|4801582|Faith & Fidelity (Faith, Love, & Devotion, #1)|Tere Michaels|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1224034969s/4801582.jpg|4866696]...because of James! At the end of F & F, James was introduced in a way that totally drew me out of the story. But I really liked the character and was looking forward to reading his story. And I was so right! Jim and Griffin were great characters and watching them slowly weave their lives together was totally satisfying. But on top of that we get a whole secondary cast of characters that were wonderful! Terry & Mimi...OMG the "cackle" & texting! And Ed...oh Lord, that took me back to a very personal and emotional time.
I'd gladly read more about these characters. One can only wish!
Once again, I was unable to get into the characters nor the storyline, for that matter. Nothing about this book grabbed me unfortunately. Jim is a workaholic cop and Griffin is a writer trying to make a movie that he feels good about. They seemed to make a nice couple, but everything was just so bland to me. I much preferred the first book in this series.
