Interesting story. The kids I nanny for do the kissing hand, and it was confusing to me when I heard of it. I later Googled the origin and filed the book under my TBR, but it turns out they had it in their arsenal and asked me to read it for them!

I do think it's cute and unique, as well as a clever way to help with separation anxiety.
