The Edge of the World picks up about an hour after the first story ends. At the end of the last book, the evil villain is erased, and you missed your ride home. Now you have to deal with the fact that the original Orignal story needs to be protected even more. But where to hide it? You also need to deal with the significant section that no one non-fictional can enter. With your complete knowledge and ability to draw anything, you produce a home for the Doodlings who lived in the story's margins.
Now that you solved that problem, where to hide the original Orignal. You and Prince S. set off to the other side of Astorya, the place where the evil villains live. While there, you struggle with not giving in to evil thoughts. While on this adventure, the book provides lots of exciting ways to engage the reader. As you deal with the cruel dilemma, the book offers many neat discussion scenarios of what if you do this versus what if you don't. These parts of the story are sure to bring up great discussion in the classroom.
Overall this series is quite enjoyable with the way you can interact with the story. I love the footnotes that add in a great touch of humor while also offering clarification to some of the news's words and places. A great bonus is the french words you learn from Manteau, always a great thing to enhance your vocabulary.
