This was a disturbing, gut-wrenching, heartbreaking, and beautifully written story. S. L. Jennings crafted a story about the horrors of domestic violence and brought forth their courage and strength, despite what the voices in their heads may tell them. Kami was a survivor, no matter what she thought. She possessed the strength to get through the day and when she was ready for it, to start to believe that she really was lovable.

This is definitely not an easy read, but it's one I'm so glad I picked up. Amongst the emotional devastation that was Kami, there was also the hope that she was going to beat her fears and have the happily ever after she didn't think she deserved. A book I highly recommend to everyone.

Where to begin ... book was amazing and I'm pretty serious about saying that! It's such a journey to go on with Kami and Blaine ... I say no more, just go and read it! Review to come.
