This collection of rarely seen photographs by Peter Lindbergh demonstrates his flair for the dramatic, the weird and the downright spooky. These images of aliens and explosions, flying saucers and dumbstruck models venture into the realm of film and pop art, but they are as glamorous as his fashion work. The photographs range from UFOs over a modern city and frightened figures wrapped in mist to an elegant couple witnessing a desert explosion and their capture by extraterrestrials. Lindbergh has created images for Commes des Garcons and run advertising campaigns for such designers as Giorgio Armani, Jil Sander, Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld and Donna Karan. In addition, he has directed a music video for Tina Turner. He has been on the staff of "Harper's Bazaar" and "Vogue".
