Book 2
Former Union marksman, roving lawman and town tamer, Morgan Clyde, has tamed the wide open, Indian Territory railroad camp, Ironhead Station, but there's one piece of unfinished business left to him that he must handle alone. The Arkansas Traveler, a crazed Confederate sniper and hired assassin is obsessed with killing him. Morgan is the only man to have ever survived one of his bullets back in the Civil War, and the Traveler has vowed that the next bullet from his famous Whitworth rifle will be the one that gets Morgan. Not only is the Traveler waiting for him somewhere out on the Salt Plains of the Arkansas River, but unknown to Morgan, the outlaw Texas George Kingman and his brother have followed him from Ironhead Station since he killed their other brother in a gunfight. If the Traveler and the Kingman brothers weren't enough, there are others on Morgan's trail, perhaps more deadly, and equally determined to see him put six feet under. The Pinkerton Detective Agency has a score of their own to settle with him, and they've put their best manhunters on his trail. Everywhere he turns there are those that want nothing more than to run him down and bring him to bay. Morgan has only one thing going for him. His enemies have made him very, very mad, and surviving is the only way he can kill them all.
