Enemies to lovers is always good for me, and I did enjoy watching these two finally act on that tension. I also liked seeing them get to the bottom of their emotional baggage. Brie and Vaughn were a great couple. They had fantastic chemistry and I loved their banter. I also was a fan of the bromance, which is probably why I adore sports romances to begin with. My biggest issues was with a side plot. I understand that it is a set up for a future book, and I think the set up is awesome and the story will be awesome, but I felt like too much attention and too much time was dedicated to this side plot.
Despite that, I enjoyed this romance. I liked seeing Vaughn grow and deal with his demons, and the ending was one, that left me with a huge, stupid grin on my face.
