Let's put it like this: "The Italian's Perfect Lover" was a total surprise to me. I didn't expect to like it half as much as I did, didn't expect to connect to the characters, or feel my heart contract every time Emily felt lacking, less than perfect, not deserving of what Alex had to offer her. I could connect to that feeling.
The romance was very well done - both fell for one another quickly, but it took a lot of time for them to reach their happy ending, or even admit to one another what they fell.
There weren't any "Big, Bad Villains" in this book, it was simply about a relationship of two people facing two opposite problems; one lives in the past, the other in the moment. And that's part of what I loved so much about.
The ending put a wide grin on my face, something that is always good in books.
So, to sum things out, I really enjoyed it. I find it to be a great story for romance lovers out there like me!
