Two books in one. The Sharpshooter's Secret Son by Mallory Kane is a straightforward thriller about a man who fell out with his girlfriend and left her alone and pregnant (he didn't know about the pregnancy) now he's being chased by some bad guys and she's in the firing line. They're captured together and they have to find a way out. Through this they work on their relationship. Not a bad story.
The second story was Fury Calls by Caridad Pineiro. Four years ago Blake saved Meghan by making her into a vampire and now they have to work together and get over their distrust to solve a murder mystery. Not a bad story but it's not spectacular, pretty predictable within the genre.
