Loved it, a great addition to the series. I did miss the presence of the library, but Alestan was just so amazing and hilarious in this book that I didn't mind too much. His particular form of magic is finally revealed and really, how much do I love it? Soooo much. I also wonder if I am meant to identify with the MCs teacher so much, or if it's just because I am getting older. This book did add in some romance, which I was glad was missing from the first one so was a bit worried when it showed up here - but it wasn't cloying or too angsty, and actually had a few amusing moments.
I look forward to the next installment of the series.
