Clay Walker is pinning everything on building Lacey Armstrong's dream. But Clay sees her dream as something much bigger and hopes that when he's done designing it, he'll be able to sit for his architectural exams and prove to everyone that he isn't what his father says.
I liked this one. The romance between Lacey and Clay was cute as they started their relationship with a little push (Lacey) and pull (Clay) action. Lacey wasn't sure if she was willing to act on the smoking hot attraction she had with Clay. Clay was positive he wanted to be with Lacey, as long as they could keep their relationship commitment free.
Lacey's best friends try to help her see the light with the relationship, but they aren't helped in that area when Lacey's ex-boyfriend decides he's finally going to become a father to the fourteen year old daughter they share and maybe rekindle their relationship. Sure, this part of the storyline wasn't earth-shattering, but it did play into the issues facing Clay and Lacey as they try to move forward together.
If you're looking for something that fun and somewhat light, this is a great read. The characters make you laugh and the storyline has you connecting with the residents of Barefoot Bay and anxious for more about them.
