Simple sentences for eager readers is how the Level 1 of the I Can Read! books are rated and we are nearly there with our AppleBlossom! I think of all the characters that fill the shelves of the I Can Read! early readers our favorites include Fancy Nancy and of course The Berenstain Bears. Spring is here, but summer is soon to come. Not only is this a fun reader with a bit of a classic summer theme, but it’s also just the thing to grab for your youngest reader to put those new decoding phonics skills to the test as well as their sight word vocabularies.

This story is a cute one with plenty of smiles and a near laugh out loud moment. All about family and community with a great theme. A good early reader as is expected from the Berenstain Bears in this family.
