This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Bookouture for accepting my request to review via Netgalley. I have previously read Jenny's first book Coming Home for Christmas and I adored it. I have been collecting Jenny's books ever since but for some unknown reason they have all sat on my TBR pile. When I decided to to do a month of Bookouture books Jenny's was the first one I picked.

This book is set in the outerbanks in the most beautiful beach house. I adored the setting. I loved its simplicity, it's natural beauty.

This book follows Faith and her family during their two week holiday in North Carolina. Faith has't seen her sister for many years but she thinks its finally time to put the past behind them and re-build the relationship they once had. What Faith doesn't realise is this may be harder than she first thought, especially when hot handyman Jake appears.

Faith first meets Jake when she's having lunch before meeting up with her family. She notices him from across the outside seating area and is immediately drawn to him.

What I loved about this story was not only the setting but the bonds between the women. Faith and her Nan are clearly very close and all Nan wants is for the family to be together again. Nothing makes her happier than seeing her girls happy.

This story will transport you to your own little strip of paradise without ever leaving your sofa. If you're missing out on a holiday this year or you're yearning to go back Jenny easily takes you there with this book. I can't wait to read the rest of my collection of Jenny Hale books.
