I've never been a fan of James Taylor and I'm only familiar with a couple of his more popular songs, but this was free on Audible and only an hour and a half long, so I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised to find myself interested from the beginning. He's a natural storyteller, masterfully condensing the first part of his life into just one and a half hours.

Not being familiar with his story, I was surprised at how much he'd been through before he turned twenty-one, not to mention shocked that I didn't know he'd worked with the Beatles at Apple Studio when he recorded his first album.

I would highly recommend this to fans of James Taylor, obviously, but also to those who enjoy listening to anecdotes about music from the late '60s through the early '70s.
