Betrayed (House of Night, #2)

by P.C. Cast

Fledgling vampire Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night. She's come to terms with the vast powers the vampire goddess, Nyx, has given her, and is getting a handle on being the new Leader of the Dark Daughters. Best of all, Zoey finally feels like she belongs - like she really fits in. She actually has a boyfriend...or two. Then the unthinkable happens: Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey's old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves. Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night, and Zoey must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeopardize the very fabric of her world.

CAUTION! THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK ALREADY!!!!!!!

I have read this book in thirteen days but I was also pretty busy in those thirteen days. We were busy doing other things and I couldn't really read but I am pretty happy that I was able to finish it. Anyways I am going to do a different way of doing this review and I hope that you guys like it.

The things I like about this book was that it was the second book and we got to see more on Zoey finding out who the bad guy is. We also get to see with what happens when Zoey's family, aka her mom and step-loser, goes to the House of Night and we get to meet Stevie Rae's mom and dad who are so cool. This book has a whole lot of good things but also bad things. Like another good thing is that of maybe Damien getting a boyfriend and maybe one of the twins as well.

The things that I don't like about this book is how Zoey kept on thinking about how Aphrodite is a ho and other things. Though also I think that the word "slut" isn't used correct in any of the ways that Zoey says in the book. Since the word "slut" means a woman or girl that sleeps with more than one man and Zoey hasn't at all. This book is a really good book though and I am giving it a four point five stars.
