Zee is back once again for The Only Living Girl #2. and that means we're in for a whole new set of adventures, as well as a fair amount of danger and risk. The creative team behind this project includes David Gallaher and Steve Ellis, and together they're continuing the tale started in The Only Living Boy.
If you've enjoyed the previous parts of this series (either The Only Living Boy, or Part One of this series) then you're going to love this latest installment. It is just as endearing as ever, full of adventure, wonder, and fantastical worlds.
Zee and her allies are off on a mission to save the people of their city, but in doing so are about to put themselves at significant risk along the way. They're going to face off against the Consortium and Doctor Twice, but that won't be enough to stop this team. Will it?
The Only Living Girl #2 was just as charming and endearing as I dared to hope. I love this series for its imagination and sense of adventure. Okay, I also adore the world that they've created here – there's something so compelling about it.
I really have enjoyed Zee's story, and will continue to do so for as long as they make it available. Mostly because I adore her determination and grit in a world full of such wonders. This issue is no exception, especially considering what she and her allies come up against here.
Once again I should mention that I never actually read The Only Living Boy, but I did read the first issue of this series. I had no trouble following along and overall found the world to be utterly enchanting. Eventually, I will go back and read the rest of the series.
I can say that any young reader out there (or adults, no judgment here) will likely enjoy this, especially if they're a fan of science fiction. The world itself is so full of imagination, it's sure to capture theirs as well.
