Born of Rage is the third book in The League: Eve of Destruction series. I went into this book expecting a single story, but I got three stories. The stories are Born of Rage, The Neighbors and Fire and Ice.

Born of Rage features Jinx and Eve. The story focused on Jinx’s reunion with his younger sister, Dakari. A kill on sight order initiated by the League had Dakari running for her life. Jinx sets out to find her before the hit could be executed. A very short read, which left me wanting more.

The Neighbors tell the story of fourteen-year-old Jaime, who is certain his neighbors are up to no good and sets out to prove his theory. An oddball in this collection of stories as it has nothing to do with the League world. However, the premise intrigued me but it left me wanting more. It would be nice if Kenyon would rewriting this story with a lot more substance.

Of the three stories, Fire and Ice was my ‘favorite. In this story, we meet Adron Quiakides, a former League assassin and Livia typpa Vista. Adron suffers PTSD because of several weeks of torture he endured at the hands of a deranged man. Livia seeks a stranger to give her virginity to escape a forced to marriage to a man twice her father’s age. When Adron and Livia’s paths crossed, sparks flew.

The story, which featured a great cast of characters, was one of hope, love and healing. Not only did it give us some teary-eyed moment, but it also delivered a few laugh out loud scenes. I thought it was well fleshed out despite being a short read.
