My Thor Fifteen years ago, on or about the 13th of October I was diagnosed with Cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma, successful cure after 6 months, 12 rounds, of Chemotherapy) and next week I am due to go to the Oncologist for what will hopefully be my last visit.  Jane Foster and her experiences resonate.  I would have loved to have the escape of being someone else, of having power over something (I had knitting, it was a minor victory to finish something). Her weakness is shown several times during this story to be her strength. Her human body may be failing but her spirit is very strong.and she refuses to go softly into that good night.  In this she fights against the dark elves and against the gods of another realm and against those who would undermine her. Using the rage against her illness often in interesting ways.

I find it compelling reading, this is my Thor.
