This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. The third part in this serialisation is deals with the aftermath of the end of part 2. Everyone is coming to terms with the events of the birthday party. The secrets that were revealed and the things that happened that day.
This book has a lot of background on David/Southpaw. There was some horrific information about his childhood and the things he had to go through. By the end of this you really feel like you can understand him more., understand why he wanted to have a home like Winterfold for his family.
Martha begins this book a bit broken. She doesn’t know how to cope after what happened at the end of part 2. She is so lost so out of it that you feel horrible for her. However Lucy is her shining star. She helps her to see through everything.
