This book had a lot of potential. Here are the things I liked:
I liked the characters. The Kerrigan family is close knit and funny. I adored Kennedy's parents.
There is a lot of drama and angst in the book. I love a good soap opera!

What I didn't like:
The pace of the book felt off. There were times when major things happened and it was explained in like a sentence. I found myself flipping back to see if I skipped something. Then there were parts of the book that I felt drug on too long.
The moments when she hears the voices of her dead friends were a little awkward. Honestly, I didn't mind it; I know some of the other readers complained that it was hokey or weird, but I didn't think so. It kind of reminded me of other books where people have shared their near death experiences. But, some people won't like it.

This book is so difficult for me to rate because I would love it for a chapter, then get really frustrated again. I think the series has potential because I loved all the secondary characters and can't wait to hear their stories so I will probably keep reading!
