I'm fairly certain that after I finish this series, I will lose my ability to gasp, cry out, and in general be shocked.

I will also lose my (already frayed) tolerance for slow burn in any other books because this series will likely test me in unimaginable ways.

Every page I turned had me quivering. Some of the things that happen in this book are vile and nasty and the characters even more so.

But for the love of me, I've never been able to resist the urge to just find out.
