Key Lime Pie took some turns that were different from the other Sadie Hoffmiller books. First, there is somewhat of a love triangle for Sadie, trying to decide between Pete or Eric. Frankly I didn't like that this was happening. I think Sadie and Pete are great together. I also didn't like how rude and mean Eric was in this book, different from how he was in Devil's Food Cake. Also in this book many new characters were introduced and I liked the can driver Monty the most. The big surprise ending made me so sad. I don't want to say more, because it would give it away. I don't like to eat Key Lime Pie in real life, and sadly this wasn't one of my favorite Sadie books either.
