I was so excited when Janeal asked me to read this book. I have been eyeing it for quite sometime and almost fell out of my chair when I got her email Me, ME, she wanted me to read it. I loved the synopsis and when I started I didn’t stop until it was done. This is such a great read, unique and draws out so much emotion that you are so frustrated but in a really good way. Books that can make you angry and worried about the main character is a great read.

The characters are fantastic. Serena and Zade are strong characters and give this story so much life. I loved the chemistry they had and I loved that the story didn’t have a huge love story the story really revolves around Serena and how she is trying to make a difference in a world that looks down on woman and only men can succeed. Katherine was also a wonderful character seeing her life as a tarnished person and learning a bit about her added so much to the story. She is such a great friend to Serena and I loved the interaction between them both. Serena’s sister Cynthia is also a great character someone to remind Serena of her place but also a great support. The only problem I had with the characters was the description of what they looked liked it really doesn’t take anything away from the story it’s just a personal preference of mine to have a character description.

The world that Janeal build is wonderful and scary and I thank goodness that we don’t live in it. With my personality and sense of independence I would have totally be tarnished right from the start :) The story was so interesting and creative and I loved how the aspect of love was there but not front and center you got so much more of the story. The pure emotion and understanding of each character.

I gave You are Mine by Janeal Falor 4/5 stars. This is a really unique book with very strong characters and one I could not put down. I look forward to reading the next in the series and see what life is like for Cynthia after what happened to her sister in this book.
