I've been wanting to read this for quite some time now, I first heard about it some time last year and I've been anxiously checking to see when it was due to be released for the last month. Fake dating to real relationship is one of my all time favourite tropes, and when it's done well it's a real pleasure to read - The Wedding Date definitely ticked all of the boxes for me.
A fun, contemporary romance, I loved the meet-cute between our two protagonists and the story that unfolded. I blitzed this book in a very short period of time and I just couldn't put it down. It was such a fun read, although it did drag a bit in the middle. The POC rep was good to see along with an interracial relationship, which I don't often see in romance novels. Also, while I love the colour scheme of the cover, I'm a bit annoyed that we didn't get the US cover as I think fits this book much better. All in all, a super fun read and I need more by Jasmine Guillory ASAP - 4 stars.
