Kissing the Quarterback by Jacob Chance
Charleston Pirates / Book 2

Rating... 4 Maple Leafs

Tropes... sports (football), best friend's sibling, forced proximity

Her smile is like a lone beam of sunshine on a stormy day.

Darren and Kendra had an unconventional meeting at the gym and were instantly attracted to each other but unfortunately, that is where it ended when Darren realized it was his best friend's little sister. After seven years of trying to ignore their attraction to each other, they now find themselves living together.

"You may not be the 'life of the party,' but you're the 'life of my party.' I wouldn't change a single thing about you."

I loved Darren and Kendra. The banter, tension, and build-up to them finally giving in to their urges led to some extremely explosive chemistry. I was smiling and laughing through the whole book and left me feeling really good after the book finished and excited for the next book in the series.
