How much bad shit does Cade Monroe have to endure? Holy hell! I get why some readers are pissed at the direction this book took, but I can't help but feel sorry for Cade and wonder what the hell Eden was thinking. Knowing how emotionally scarred Cade is from his other losses, it's not a surprise that he'd fall apart after the accident with Ever, seeking the emotional connection he'd only had with Ever. I put more blame at Eden's feet, because she really should have been strong enough to fight her feelings.
As much as I don't really like the direction of the storyline, I will most likely tune in for the last book to find out what happens. I'm hoping Gramps is right and true love can forgive.
