It amused me for a day or so, but 'Let Me Off At The Top' will have little or nothing to recommend it to those not fans of the 'Anchorman' franchise.

True to the character a lot of the novel was US-centric, and not coming from the states myself, many of the cultural references were lost on me. This severely detracted from how funny I found the book as half the time I found myself googling 'celebrities' or products I'd never heard of.

It was good, fun commuting reading, but not a book you should run out to get a copy of. It was a distraction, no more, but to be honest that was pretty much what I was expecting. On that, it certainly delivered.
