Okay, so I’m still not caught up in Faith’s original series. Forgive me. But I just can’t resist reading this one. I’m not sure if it’s the name, or if I feel like I’m already invested to why not (I mean, at this point I’ve probably already gotten the biggest spoilers), but I’m not giving up. I mention my lack of backstory understanding because there were two characters introduced here that are so tragically heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. I’m not sure if they’re new to the series or not though, but I imagine somebody that’s read more of it than I have could say so.
I’m really enjoying this plot. It’s so different from everything else I’m reading. It’s quite refreshing. I love Faith, and the determination she has to help others, regardless of the cost to herself. Something that I feel like is being shown exceptionally well in this new series.
I’ll be curious to see where things go from here. There’s a lot of potential to take it into a realm that they haven’t really explored yet (to my knowledge). It could be incredibly interesting, if done right (and I suspect it will be). I’m kind of sad that I have to wait another month for the next issue, but alas that’s the cost of reading issue by issue.
