The Duchess In His Bed (Sins for All Seasons, #4)

by Lorraine Heath

For a duchess with practical desires, falling in love is an inconceivable part of her plan...

As owner of the Elysium Club which caters to women’s fantasies, Aiden Trewlove is accustomed to introducing adventurous ladies to sin and vice. But he is uncharacteristically intrigued by the mysterious beauty who visits his club one night, yearning to indulge in the forbidden—with him. Drawn to her indomitable spirit, he breaks his rule of never becoming personally involved with his clientele and is determined to fully awaken her desires.

A recent widow, Selena Sheffield, Duchess of Lushing, has never known passion, not until Aiden’s slow, sensual seduction leads her on a journey of discovery and incredible pleasure. But her reasons for visiting the notorious club are not all that they seem.

As Selena’s motives become complicated by love, she finds herself with a most unexpected choice: forge ahead with a secret plan that could secure her future—or follow her heart which could prove ruinous.

"I'm looking forward to introducing you to the pleasures of sin."

With that quote alone *swoons* Okay, let's wipe the drool here and commence this review, shall we? Ahem. This story embodies slow-burn and seduction to the freaking max.

Aiden Trewlove owns a club designed for women to be themselves without society watching their every move--a place where women can explore there fantasies and desires, whether it's to have a massage, a foot rub, or simply being catered by hot men. Just for this, I'm voting for Aiden for president *raises hand* So, who's with me?

We also have Selena, a recent widow, who should be in her house mourning, not going to Aiden's club. She decides to wear a mask so she's not recognized and this intrigues Aiden all the more. Because Selena is supposed to be in mourning, Aiden and her embark on secret meetings at night time to spend time with each other and their romance is one amazing forbidden and delicious slow-burn! The intimacy and the sensuality will have you turning the page faster than you can say, "Sin,".

He reveled in sin, enjoyed his role introducing people to vice. It was unlikely he was headed to heaven and so he fully intended to enjoy the ride that would deliver him to hell.

Selena was all about having sex immediately, because that's all she knew. Sex in her marriage was more of a duty than anything. There were no sparks, no passion. Aiden decides to show her the other ways he can please her, whether it's intimate or simply by touching her leg or arm. Even I was breathless by just the touching of a leg, okay?! That's how good Aiden is. And this obviously means a lot to Selena. For the first time, she knows what being passionate means and what having her body worshipped feels like, thanks to Aiden. Once again, can we vote for Aiden for president?

"You deserve better than to be bedded." His low voice thrummed through every nerve ending she possessed. "You warrant a scandalous and thorough seduction." [...] "Every woman merits more than a bedding. Each is deserving of seduction."

I keep repeating this, but family dynamics in a story mean a lot to me. And this novel wasn't the exception. Aiden's family is so loving towards Selena and her sisters, which of course, I totally loved. I especially loved Aiden's interaction with one of Selena's sister. It made me pudding in his hands!

This book being the fourth in the series, I was glad I never felt lost while reading. Selena's and Aiden's story was completely their own, with certain characters from the previous books popping in and out. This made me even more giddy to read the series from the beginning! I also cannot wait for Fancy's story in The Earl Takes a Fancy.
