Ahhhhh, it pains me to write this because CHURCH absolutely drew me into their story, even though I did struggle with it because it's not my normal kind of read. Fantome is a phenomenal writer and have loved just about everything that I've read by her.
To me, this book felt a little bit different or maybe I just wasn't in the right mood for a dark romance. This duet has been one of the few dark romances that I've read this year. I had a lot of trouble getting into this one and it was spanning over several days.
I may have to revisit and try it again, but for now it's a DNF.
Don't worry, I still love her books and am absolutely looking forward to her next one.
