Chosen (House of Night, #3)

by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampire Zoey Redbird's adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies. And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends. So begins the gripping third instalment of this "highly addictive series" ("Romantic Times"), in which Zoey's mettle will be tested like never before. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Zoey doesn't have a clue how to help her, but she does know that anything she and Stevie Rae discover must be kept secret from everyone else at the House of Night, where trust has become a rare commodity.Speaking of rare: Zoey finds herself in the very unexpected and rare position of having three boyfriends. Mix a little bloodlust into the equation and the situation has the potential to spell social disaster. Just when it seems things couldn't get any tougher, vampires start turning up dead. Really dead. It looks like the People of Faith, and Zoey's horrid step-father in particular, are tired of living side-by-side with vampires.
But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth...

CAUTION! THIS REVIEW MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK ALREADY!!!!!!!

This book was different than the other ones. To me I feel like this book, and the last one as I am now thinking about it, as a filler one. This one is mostly just Zoey talking about how much of a "slut and ho bag" she is turning into. Even though if you look up the definition of those two words you will know that she isn't. I also kind of didn't like the thing that she Imprinted with someone else besides Heath. I mean even Imprinting with Heath is just messed up to me. I just don't get with why she would even suck on anyone's blood just quite yet.

Though the whole thing that the only one that does end up liking Zoey throughout the book is someone that she doesn't even like. I do think though that her fleding vampyre boyfriend could have took something a little bit better but then again I always thought that maybe Erik was just too good to be true to Zoey and I was right. Though then again so far I have been right for some things that have been happening in the series. Throughout the whole book though there is only one thing that I like about it is that something good happens to Stevie Rae which I love.
