I am pretty sure that my love for this series cannot be adequately quantified.  Every one of the installments of this series has been great in it's own way. I will say that for me, it's hard to get better than Lexi and Jax, I truly adore them.  And as much as I enjoyed Rubi and Wes, I think I enjoyed Nathan and Rachel a little bit more.  Looking back at my notes and highlights, there a A LOT!  Lots of funny stuff, lots of sweet stuff and LOTS of sexy stuff.

Nathan certainly was edgier than Jax or Wes and he was a bad ass on top of everything else!  And as for Rachel, she was just waiting for the right guy to let loose with.
He lowered his head, and instead of leaning back the way Rachel's lifetime of conservative instincts ordered, she lifted to her toes.  Their lips met more deliberately than she'd intended.  But fuck it.  She was sick of looking for the "right" guy.  Sick of trying to satisfy the unfulfilled cravings that had developed over the last year.  She wanted a man's mouth everywhere.  A man's body moving with hers.

One thing I really love about Ms. Jordan's writing, she really knows how to write two characters that connect with each other in every way.  I find  myself *sighing* a lot when I read this series because I just love how they seem to fit each other so naturally.
Her lips pillowed beneath Ryker's in the most luscious way, but it was the purr rolling from her throat, the way her body relaxed into his, the feel of her breasts pressing against his chest that made his thoughts evaporate and fire spread through his lower body.

He tasted her lips, and she opened to him, but her mouth remained tense with restrained hunger.  One Ryker burned to release.  And when her tongue eased past his lips and slid against his, all his thoughts sank into Rachel and the feel of his tongue moving in her mouth.

Public, a little voice chattered in his head.  You're in public.

Seriously, I could go on and on.  Nathan was a harder nut to crack being that he had some VERY serious PTSD issues he needed to deal with in order to move forward in any substantial way and I think that made him a little different from Jax and Wes.  Rachel, god bless her, totally held her own with Nathan.  He was quite dominant but she was no shrinking violet, she had the ability to let him control things and pursue her own pleasure.  Good LORD Ms. Jordan can write some crazy SEXY sex scenes.  But again, they aren't hollow physical acts and that's why I love this series so much.  Annnd I could post quote after quote that gave me the chills and turned me the hell on...

I for one, really enjoyed Nathan and Rachel and I cannot wait for what/who Ms. Jordan has in store for us next.
