Tyrant by T. M. Frazier

Tyrant (King, #2)

by T. M. Frazier

I. Remember. Everything.

Only now I wish I didn’t.

When the fog is sucked away from my mind like smoke through a vacuum, the truth that has been beyond my reach for months finally reveals itself.

But the relief I thought I would feel never comes, and I’m more afraid now than I was the morning I woke up handcuffed in King’s bed.

Because with the truth comes dark secrets I was never meant to know.

I will put the lives of those I love most at risk if I let on that my memory has returned, or if I seek help from the heavily tattooed felon who owns me body and soul.

I don’t know if I’m strong enough to resist the magnetic pull toward King that grows stronger every day.

He’s already saved me in more ways than one. Now it’s my turn to do whatever it takes to save him.

Even if that means marrying someone else…

If you haven't read the first book, you might want to stop reading this and just trust me to read this series. It's amazing. This review will contain spoilers from book #1 but no spoiler for the #2.

First Impression:

I couldn't wait to dive into this book, after the way the first one ended I need to find out exactly what happened. I needed to make sure Doe/Ramie was going to be ok and I needed to know that Doe and King were going to find each other again. This book brings on a bunch of new characters and gives you a glimpse in the background of Doe. It also wraps up their story nicely and I was very happy with how this ended.

The Story & Characters:

The story basically builds around Doe and uncovering the mystery of what happened to her. Slowly her memory comes back and things aren't as perfect everyone was making it out to be. I was sort of thrown by the end and what happens (sorry can't say anything more than that) This book also contains a lot of triggers and one or two of them really made my skin crawl. I am worried about reading Bears books next since what happens in this book will be revisited and I am not sure I want to revisit that. The scenes between Doe and King in this book are just as intense if not more than in the first book. I love their chemistry, I just adore them together. This story really blew me away and totally worth the 5 stars I gave it.

Final Thoughts:

Overall this was my favorite out of the two, I am not sure why I liked it so much more. It might have been, now that I read both books I rated them together with 5 stars. I thought this was fantastic and like I said totally wrapped of their story perfectly, I was quite happy with it. I want to read Bear's book but I might hold off just a bit before I get into it, I need to be in the right frame of mind.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my review.

Have a great day and Happy Reading!
