Even though it took a lot of time to read due to lack of time more than anything I really really enjoyed this book way more than the first one, Mora was a personal favourite of mine in the first light novel and the anime because of the cool design, the badass Saint power and the fact that she seemed to have a much deeper motive to be acting the way she did than what we knew of in the first light novel which I was right about as seen in this sequel.

The mystery of the whole thing is one of the best I've read recently, it's engaging, intelligent and insanely brilliant to see all the plot twists that Yamagata-sensei comes up with to make it into an even better story than it was a few chapters ago. Finding out about the ancient Kyoma and his controlling power was mind blowing. Finding out about the other two faction leaders so to speak was pretty interesting and I look forward to see what they'll do against the Braves.

After finishing the anime I was told that the second novel will have much more action than the first novel which was establishing the mystery and they were right. The fast paced action in this sequel was very cool to read about and it gave a much better understanding of the powers of the other characters this time around instead of mostly focusing on Adlet, who btw still got enough time to shine. Meeting and hearing about other saints was also something I really appreciated.

Mora is an amazing character, it's very interesting to see how far a mother would go for her child and this one didn't disappoint. As I was watching the anime and then reading the first volume it always felt like Mora was desperate to find the seventh and she always seemed to be in a hurry with the quick accusations. I finally learned why here and wow did it add more depth to her character than I expected, I mean she actually thought up of a way to kill and not kill a brave which tbh was genius. Since her daughter is safe now I'm looking forward to see how she'll contribute to their cause. While she may not be completely clear at this point she definitely lowered my suspicion of her.

Seeing the power of those saints, especially the saint of words was pretty badass, the power is insanely powerful as well. The Saint of Salt is another one that piqued my interest and I hope the coming novels will have more mentions of them. Picking up Rokka no Yuusha as my first ever light novel read continues to prove that it was an excellent decision.
