Shelby just never let's me down. It took me a while to write this review because of surgery prep, surgery, and recovery - life just got a bit much for review writing. But I still vividly remember the story and that, as usual, I loved it.

What made this latest adventure with Shelby special? Let me count the ways...

1. Shelby is starting to recognize and be okay with how enmeshed she is with Uncle Joey, mob boss. I think she's struggled with this for a while and is starting to realize it's okay. And since I love him, that's a great development for me.
2. The suspense! Not in a traditional suspense book sense... This is still a cozy mystery through and through. BUT there were some seriously suspenseful moments where I panicked a wee-bit. I was thinking, "Colleen wouldn't... Would she?" Did she? Not telling, you'll have to read it for yourself
