"There was always an exception, and she would be it. Just this once. Just one date."
Araya, after going through a very tragic event in her life, it has caused her to live her life in the shadows, never to be seen, always in the darkness. It isn't until Ryland Dare comes along and stirs things up for her. Ryland comes from a wealthy family, whose parents are about their status, known to not give anyone "forever", and expected to carry on the family business.
I love Araya and Ryland so much! Araya is a feisty one, she's definitely not afraid to speak her mind nor does she like to be talked down to. It's so true, it's only after so long, one person can take so much, they'll eventually have to release it all. Ryland is such an amazing and caring guy! He brings hope to Araya, or in this book, brings light to the darkness that she's been in for so many years.
"Ryland was changing my life and he didn't even realize it."
I absolutely love the story and it's definitely different. I haven't read a story line like this at all and I believe it's safe to say, that this one book won't be the end of it, it's a series people. Which will drive you crazy at the end, you'll probably be yelling, "What are you doing?!"
My emotions were all over the place, your heart will break (probably more than once), you'll laugh, you'll fall in love with Ryland and his good-caring nature towards Araya (he's the best boyfriend ever!), you'll look up to Araya and how strong she is (I love her outlook on things), and you'll be pissed and probably want to knock some people's teeth out! I think this book covers it all.
Melissa, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I can't say that enough! I was so sad to read the end of the book, but now I'm anxious to read the next one!
MY RATING : 5 STARS!
