I love the intrigue and mystery in this captivating middle grade novel. I do think their were some parts that were a bit gory for a middle grade but they were not graphic by any means just made you cringe which adds to the mystery part of the story. I do like that their a satisfactory ending to the story and that all the loose ends get tied up. I do also like that there are twists, turns, local jargon and lessons to be learned from this story. A great story for anyone who likes a bit of magic and mystery all wrapped up in one delightful story.
