Leon is completely overwhelmed at work and has been told countless times by people who care about him that he needs to hire someone to help him. After going through all of the applications he interviews Auggie, the awkward "kid" who never stops talking but is completely qualified for the job. Leon has never wanted anything long term or anyone like Auggie. When Auggie gets under his skin, Leon needs to remember to keep things professional no matter how hard Auggie makes it for him.
Leon and Auggie's story is a fun, clumsy, and awkward opposites attract story. I found myself smiling through the whole book. Auggie's awkwardness is completely adorable and Leon is just a big teddy bear under all his gruffness. I loved how we got to see the other couples in this book. I was not a fan of Auggie's parents. There was little angst in the book which was a nice change.
