Rome by Jay Crownover

Rome (The Marked Men, #3)

by Jay Crownover

The next thrilling and sexy book in the MARKED MEN series

Cora Lewis is a whole lot of fun, and she knows how to
keep her tattooed bad boy friends in line. But all that flash
and sass hide the fact that she never got over the way
her first love broke her heart. Now she has a plan to make
sure that never happens again: she's only going to fall in love
with someone perfect.

Rome Archer is as far from perfect as a man can be. He's
stubborn and rigid, he's bossy and has come back from his
final tour of duty fundamentally broken. Rome's used to filling
a role: big brother, doting son, super soldier; and now
none of these fit anymore. Now he's just a man trying to
figure out what to do with the rest of his life while keeping
the demons of war and loss at bay. He would have been glad
to suffer it alone, until Cora comes sweeping into his life and
becomes the only colour on his bleak horizon.

Perfect isn't in the cards for these two, but imperfect
might just last forever...

The time for Rome & Cora has come everyone and I couldn't have been anymore excited! After getting a little taste of the both of them in the last book, I was so ready to see how their story unfolds. And my oh my, it's pretty steamy!

Well let me just start with that Rome is my FAVORITE Archer! The older broham of Rule who just returned home from a fatal incident that ended his military career. With all that loss, Rome brought a lot of pain, and not just physical pain. What's his next plan in life? What happens when you no longer feel like you have a role, anymore? He's dealing with a lot and adding strong-headed Cora to the mix, doesn't help matters ... or does it?

Cora; manager and 'piercer' (of all sorts) at Rule's shop; meddling where she shouldn't be meddling, but that's just how she is. She always has to make things right for people, even if it's not her business. She still suffers from a broken heart and refuses to let anyone love her.

Absolutely loved the first interaction between the two, Rome got what he was asking for and Cora was the one (of course) to unleash it all over him. That's what you get for being the biggest douche ever, ROME! First impressions of each other were fantastic! As we get to see more of them together, and their relationship starts to develop, it's really hard not to love them! She is a witty one and I seriously couldn't get enough of it, especially Rome, Mr. Alpha that he is. They are very different, but they are a perfect match. There were some unexpected things that popped up, there was one certain thing that they handled very casually, which was rather surprising ... with that situation. Sorry, very vague, I'll just shut up now.

I loved this story so much and I can't wait for Rowdy and Nash's story. Bring em on, Jay!
