My first impression of Robert Louis Stevenson was that I wouldn’t like him. Treasure Island, The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, they just really didn’t tickle my fancy. But in my pursuit to read everything deemed classic I picked up a copy of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and was amazed to find that I flew through the pages. When I later found a copy of Treasure Island I thought hey, why not? And what do you know I loved this too. Stevenson has a really easy writing style that sucks you into the story and before you know - it’s over.
