Rowan

by Josephine Angelini

What game is she playing?
Rowan hadn't seen Lillian in over a year-not since she broke his heart and killed his father in one fell swoop-so why would she pick today to just show up outside his favorite coffee shop, dressed in outlandish clothes and pretending she doesn't recognize him. Is she turning to Tristan now in some pathetic effort to drive them apart? Why insist her name is Lily? And where is her Willstone? Her wild claims of being from a parallel world are just crazy and pathetic...right?
Get a glimpse of Rowan's side of the story in this thrilling e-short edition to The Worldwalker Trilogy by internationally bestselling author Josephine Angelini.

So I am SUCH a fan of this series and was SO excited to hear about this novella. When I went to purchase it, it noted that it was 250+ pages long. Well, about only two chapters were the actual novella, and 200+ pages were sample chapters from Trial By Fire. Which I already own. Pretty bummed I spent $1.99 on a handful of pages.

While I enjoyed Rowan's POV, it was a lot of showing rather than telling, and basically is just a summary from his POV of what happens in Salem after Lily arrives. Have to say I'm pretty disappointed, as I thought I'd be getting 200+ pages of his POV (I wouldn't even have minded if it was the entire same book as Trial by Fire, just from Rowan's POV, like Midnight Sun was supposed to be in the Twilight series).

Oh well. On to Firewalker I suppose.
