Secret Letters is a beautifully written Victorian historical novel, filled with mystery, intrigue, and the right amount of suspense. It's beautiful atmospheric imagery brings this wonderful tale of mystery and delight to life on the old cobblestone streets of London and spins an extraordinary take on Sherlock Holmes. Readers will find themselves amazed by the gorgeous imagery Leah Scheier has brought to life vividly and will be swept up inside the adventures of love, heartache, and daring intrigue. The character's are magnificently inspired, as is the homage paid to the legendary Sherlock Holmes. It is fantastic fresh new take on a wonderfully rich old legend.

There is beautiful sweeping emotion caught up in these wonderful pages and heart stopping romance that is sure to sweep any reader off their feet. The beautiful quiet bravery of its main protragnist, Dora, is such a rich aspect of the novel itself. It was a delight to see how determined and full of life she was, as it ended up adding so much more to the story. The classic mystery style of sleuthing was another brilliant element the novel possessed. This is a novel that is chalked full of many twists and turns, heartache, and sweet stunning romance sure to entertain anyone who enjoys Victorian romance with a side of mystery and air.

Leah Scheier's characters are full of charm, wit, and fascinating personality that make them incredibly likable and realistic. The mystery is sure to drawn anyone into its web and enfold them there, until the end. Secret Letter's is just a wonderfully written novel full of beauty and grace. It's one that I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys romance with a twist of suspense. It will take you back in time to an era that you'll wish you only had gotten the chance to experience.
