Full Review on my blog!

Hmm, this took so long to read. The beginning was really hard to get into... probably because it's been sooo long since I've read Black Dawn, but it did help fill in some of the blanks, because I remember Black Dawn started in an awkward place.

Renegade is a prequel to Black Dawn, telling the story of Emory's time at the Academy, training with friends and family. Nothing good can last, though, and things at the Academy and Kieros in general, are becoming frayed. This all leads up to Emory's situation at the beginning of Black Dawn, and let's you see up close and personal how Adair became the person he is in that book.

Although it's ONLY a prequel, I fell like it's more of a book 1, it was a bit longer than Black Dawn.

I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this world. I recommend it.
