3.5 stars. I think.

This is the first book by Ms. Jackson that I've read. I don't think it will be my last but I'll have to see how the next one goes.
I enjoyed the story/plot and the suspense aspect was well done.
Jackson's writing style in this one is very lyrical and I do enjoy it, generally. I think my biggest speed bump is that sometimes, it got repetitive, the usage of some affectionate names and physical descriptions. So much so, that it took me out of the story a bit.

I'm looking forward to the next book and hopefully, it will further clarify my feelings about this Ms. Jackson's books.
