I really liked this book A LOT but Eadlyn was so entitled/bratty. I know she didn't mean to be, and deep down she was a good person, and I can see her character developing, but she could just be SO UNLIKEABLE! Like, at the end when she told her brother to find another person to marry.. OH MY GOD! Her brother was madly in love with a princess from France—like super madly in love. But Eadlyn told him to find someone else to be with because she didn't want him to leave the country. HOLY FUCKING SELFISH.

Also, there was absolutely zero chemistry between Eadlyn and ANY of the Selected (or Erik...). Nothing there at all. This makes me worry that the next book is going to have a bad case of insta-love if she actually falls in love with someone.
