When I started reading this book, I honestly thought it was going to be technical sci-fi book. You know, the type of book that gets really into time travel and has all sorts of mathematical equations to explain it (and yes, there are those types of books). I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be the exact opposite. There were some twists and turns in the book that took me by surprise (the ending is a big one).
I was also surprised to learn that this book is fact based. The USS Eldridge and the Philadelphia Experiment supposedly did take place. Just Google them and you will find a few articles about them.
