John Mandel's Station Eleven is a beautiful novel that asks questions about art and fame and about the relationships that sustain us through anything - even the end of the world.
I just finished it and not sure what to say. I had heard so many people rave about this book that unfortunately it may have set my expectations too high. That and reading a book about life after a virus wipes out most of the population during a real life pandemic is interesting and a little unsettling. It sure makes me think about how this could be possible and I appreciate all the comforts we have right now. I found it to be well written and the story was creative. I did like how the story jumps back and forth in time, slowly revealing the interconnections between the characters. It was a solid book that I'd give 3.5 stars.
