I like the new direction for Mile Morales. I know it isn’t a complete shift, but it’s just enough. This issue continues the plot started in the first issue, and boy has it been interesting. Without naming who, Miles has teamed up with a famous Spider-Man antagonist to solve some crimes. It’s been unexpectedly amazing. I love the duo, as weird as that may sound, and kind of hope to see them together more often. They bounce off against each other well, plus they balance out the others' abilities and knowledge nearly perfectly. I’m looking forward to seeing where all of this goes – especially after the surprise appearance at the end of the issue. I probably should have expected somebody showing up, but him? That’ll be cool.
