Avengers (2018-) #13

This issue is completely different from all of the other issues…I feel like I’ve been saying that a lot lately. But it’s true. Here the issue focuses entirely on one character, and it isn’t one that is part of the (current) Avengers team. But she was part of a very powerful team, long long ago.
Her appearance tells me that we’re going back to jumping between points in time to tell a story. Jason Aaron is really good at this, so I have no complaints. Though I will be curious to see how it ties into everything that has been going on. For the briefest moment, I actually thought they were introducing a character to join the Agents of Wakanda crew. I don’t think that’s it…but I could be wrong.
It was fun learning about the backstory for this character. It’s not one I know well, but sometimes it’s nice to follow a character I don’t know everything about.
